This weekend, 10K Islands’ forthcoming band, The Big East, played their first show at Cellar Door in Richmond, VA. We’re very excited about our newest band’s live debut, and can’t wait to release these sunny, indie-pop tracks into your ears. They’re sure to soundtrack your next beach party, or summer road-trip. It’s all under wraps for now, but for more details, check out the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s story, and a more in-depth article on the band’s evolution and sound via RVA Mag. Stay tuned for more updates!
This 4th of July Miami was out in force at Audio Junkie’s Independence Day jam with a ton of awesome local bands, including PLAINS, Arboles Libres & Deaf Poets, along with Jolt Radio (providing the tunes outside) & Subvert Ales providing the tasty homegrown brews.
Check out Jolt Radio’s recap for pictures and more! Much thanks to them for the great coverage and jams.
More pictures and words over at The New Times.
ANR will be taking some time out from the studio to play with St. Vincent at The Stage in Miami on May 31st. Come hang!

The flyers speak for themselves. Big up to Paste for making ANR their #1 band to see at SXSW! ANR also recently caught up with Huffington Post to discuss all things Austin (and Miami).

PLAINS just played a few stellar shows in Florida, including a rousing support slot for Sebadoh in Miami. Now, they’re settling down for a bit before a run out to Austin for SXSW! In the meantime, you can catch them live on February 16th supporting Surfer Blood at Bardot.

ANR will be taking a break from the studio to play a live set at Mamushka’s in Miami on Saturday, February 4th. They’ll be playing along with Sam Friend. Should be a fun one.
PLAINS is preparing for a few dates in the great state of Florida later this month. The band will be playing in Miami with Sebadoh then heading north for shows in Fort Lauderale, Orlando and Tampa. It’s been a solid few weeks for the band in the Sunshine State having been named City Link Magazine’s 4th best of album of 2011, being Beached Miami’s #1 track of 2011 and having a song on the ABC television show Revenge.
