The Adventures of Christopher Bosh in the Multiverse from last year’s Borscht (Bosh) Film Festival has recently (finally) gone viral! This short animated film is full of an Adult Swim breed of humor and was scored by Michael-John Hancock of Awesome New Republic, as well as Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit. Fun fact, Hancock also ghost-wrote “Nookie”. Check out the video below, if you haven’t already seen it on Complex, Vice, and every other website that is great.
ANR (Awesome New Republic) have released the first in a monthly mix tape series leading up to their new album. The mix tape, titled “PAT RILEY” after the legendary coach of the Miami Heat, features remixes, covers, original tracks and some of the bands favorite jams. ANR have taken footage of their recording sessions and chopped it up into a short track of it’s own. Recording sessions are not in short supply for the guys as MJ, Brian & Luke prepare their next album, and more. Keep up with them on Facebook ,Twitter, and YouTube for loads of news, music, and other surprises to come.
ANR‘s Brian and MJ have been working on the follow up to Stay Kids all year. In the past few months, they’ve been hitting overtime, locked up in the studio seven days a week. We thought we’d share some photos:
MJ painted this sweet piece hanging overhead in Studio C in between writing and recording sessions.
BRob is the #1 intern, naturally.
You’ll be smiling like them when they release this album. We may or may not have heard some of it. It may or may not be really awesome… Ok, it’s really awesome.
ANR‘s Michael John-Hancock has dropped another gem along the road to their new album, the follow up to 2011′s Stay Kids.
These tripped out, artistic videos feature rare moments with the band, beautiful imagery and sneak peaks into what some of their amazing new tracks sound like. If you haven’t seen the first, “Urban Legends”, get up to speed.
Then watch John-Hancock turn into his father in the new video.
Subscribe to ANR’s youtube page for more, listen to “Stay Kids” here, and check back here for details on everything 10K.
The flyers speak for themselves. Big up to Paste for making ANR their #1 band to see at SXSW! ANR also recently caught up with Huffington Post to discuss all things Austin (and Miami).
